On Saturday 4 May, Badalona became the epicentre of the musical celebration with the XIV Bassoon. More from 60 bassoonists came together to immerse themselves in an intense encounter of Latin music and rhythms.

The event, organised by the Bassoon teacher and mandolinist Juan Carlos Marqueznot only offered the opportunity to share a passion for the bassoon, but also included body percussion workshops and performances of instruments such as the cuatro and percussion, taking the participants directly to the warm lands of the Caribbean, something rare in the bassoon field.

In addition, the presence of exhibitors brands such as NA Bassoons, Measure and the specialist wind shop Sax-Onconsolidated the event as an opportunity to keep up to date and try out new instruments, materials and even repair services offered by the Barcelona shop.

The meeting brought together professionals and amateurs alike, with a total of 14 distinguished professors from different regions. For some, it was their first immersion in the Fagotada, while for others, it was an annual tradition. The festive and welcoming atmosphere among the participants, regardless of their level of experience, was a regular ingredient that once again enriched this project.

The enthusiastic contribution of outstanding professionals such as Juan Carlos Márquez, Laia Magrí y Laura Guastevíamong others, ensured the success and vitality of this edition of the Fagotada. But it is the magic and the sum of the illusion of all those involved that, with their dedication and enthusiasm, makes La Fagotada stand out once again for its importance and beauty. Here's to one more Fagotada! Long live the bassoon!
