NA Bassoons arrives in Portugal with a warm reception from the bassoon community
The NA Bassoons arrived in Portugal with a warm reception from the community of bassoonists in the country. The turn began in Braga, where professor Sandra Ochoa organised an unmissable event that brought together renowned musicians such as Hugues Kestman, Juliana Santos, Anabela Ferreira, Pedro Travanca and André Santos. More than twenty students participated in a loops and improvisation workshop led by Alfonso Fernández, where they explored amplification technologies and tools applied to the fagote, creating their own compositions and living a day full of learning and inspiration.

The meeting continued in Lisbon, at the Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana, where maestro Roberto Erculiani received NA Bassoons together with other renowned professors, such as Isaac Fernandes, Ricardo Santos and Cidalia Torres. The meeting was closed with a lunch, where future collaboration and support projects were discussed, especially in social initiatives such as those led by Professor Isaac Fernandes. These possible partnerships aim to offer Portuguese youth a wider access to music, promoting personal development through the bassoon with a social approach.

Thanks to this enriching experience, Portuguese musicians can now discover and experience the NA Bassoons instruments in specialised shops such as Sons do Clássico (Braga), Cardoso and Conceição (Sta. Maria Da Feira) and Russomusica (Agualva). It is a great joy to see the NA Bassoons family growing in Portugal, strongly driving a new generation of enthusiasts of the bassoon.
