NA Bassoons and Mawip: two visions united to make the bassoon more accessible
At NA Bassoons we have had the pleasure of initiating a dialogue with Mawipan innovative Italian brand that has developed the Densoona bassoon with a mechatronic-assisted fingering system that simplifies finger positions, reduces ergonomic barriers and also enables connection MIDI. Behind this proposal is a team led by Gianfranco de Nicolobassoonist and creative mind committed to the accessibility of the instrument.
We both share the same passion for the bassoon and the desire to make it more accessible to musicians of all levels and styles. This collaboration is born not only out of a common vision, but also out of mutual admiration for the work that each of us is developing in our own field.
While Mawip commitment to bringing the bassoon closer to poly-instrumentalists and electronic bands through technology, in NA Bassoons we continue to focus on the academic backgroundthe craft tradition and direct contact with artists, conservatories and educational centres from a modern point of view. Two different paths that meet to enrich the world of the bassoon from complementary perspectives.
This harmony opens up new possibilities for collaboration: joint events, artistic exchanges, and the development of technical solutions. that integrate the best of both approaches. We believe that Densoon represents an added value that can inspire new generations, and we are excited to explore what we can build together.
